Sumptuous Savannah, Georgia
An hour southwest of Hilton Head, Savannah, GA is home to
one of the nations largest
registered National Historic Landmark Districts. Savannah is a city that
celebrates both black and white culture. Streets were originally laid
out in a grid-like system broken up by 22 park-like squares
which keeps the modern-day traffic paceslow. A more recent claim to fame
came to the city with the release of the best-selling book and film Midnight
in the Garden of Good and Evil based on true and sometimes bizarre events.
However its Savannahs charm, historic nature and ambience
that make it well-worth a day visit from Hilton Head. Its so close
you may want to spend even more time in Savannah.
